Depending on where you are coming from, you might find there is less infrastructure in Cuba than you are used to. The food is rich in culture, but potentially unfamiliar. It’s unlikely that you will be able to pay with credit cards, your mobile phone service may not have coverage, and Internet is largely unavailable. Walking surfaces may be uneven, and depending on the time of year, the intensity of the heat can be significant. The weather is tropical and air conditioning is very rare. But with proper planning and packing, all of these conditions are manageable and add to the unique experience that is visiting Cuba.
